Ugni blanc
Ugni blanc i is one of the most widely planted white grape varieties in the world. It is notably the grape variety which serves as the basis for Cognac spirits. Outside of France, its name is Trebbiano toscano, in homage to its origins.

In the vineyards
Bunch and berries: Large, very elongated and cylindrical clusters, characteristic of the grape variety. Small to medium-sized berries, which may turn pink when ripe.
Maturity: Late-ripening
Characteristics: A vigorous and productive grape variety, the skin of the berries is thick, giving it good resistance to rot. On the other hand, its long and fragile branches make it sensitive to the wind.
In the cellars
Characteristics: Ugni blanc produces a pale yellow and dry wine. In blending, it brings an acidic and fresh touch which can enhance blends, with finesse and liveliness.
