Indication Géographique Protégée (IGP)
Three letters that replace others, VdP, the initials for Vin De Pays. Since European harmonization, IGP (or PGIs : Protected Geographical Indications) have designated the intermediate category of wines, but this acronym also designates other agricultural products with a distinctive character, such as appellations of origin.
